Delegate Ariana Kelly Has a Track Record of Success on Issues That Matter in District 16
Over twelve years representing us, Delegate Kelly has successfully sponsored more than 100 pieces of legislation to improve our community. She specializes in healthcare and family economic security and is proud of her 100% lifetime ratings from League of Conservation Voters and Pro-Choice Maryland.
Delegate Ariana Kelly has protected reproductive rights, supported working parents, helped children with special needs get the therapy they need, and ensured our health insurance plans cover the treatment we need in a timely manner without breaking the bank. She is a leader on Maryland’s current efforts to reduce costs in the individual insurance market and has been working tirelessly to reduce the cost of quality child care. She has strengthened protections for people seeking mental health and substance use treatment and eased the process for qualifying for long-term care Medicaid.
Delegate Kelly is also an advocate for the disability community. Delegate Kelly has secured state funding for our YMCA, the Jewish Social Service Agency, the National Center for Children.

This committee has jurisdiction over early learning and childcare as well as the wellbeing of children and families. Jointly chaired with Senator Mary Washington. The Committee is working on expanding affordable high-quality childcare in Maryland and increasing tax incentives and credits for this care.
Chair, Subcommittee on Health Occupations and Long Term Care
A senior leadership position on the Health & Government Operations Committee, jurisdiction includes all health professions, scope of practice, access to care and elderly and disability care. This Committee focuses on improving access to quality affordable healthcare in all regions of the state.
